Its back baby, this time in Indonesia

Its back baby. My blog is back in business as I am once again on the road exploring the world. This time its Indonesia, and I’m pretty psyched. I just left LMP and some new global friends back in Bali as they returned to the USA. Meanwhile, I’m in Flores prepping for my trip to either Komodo or Rinca tomorrow to check out some seriously giant lizards.

Here’s what has gone down since my last journal entry:

- I attended and completed graduate school. Which includes

a) an amazing/ridiculous trip to Puerto Vallarta for spring break

b) an amazing/ridiculous trip to Nepal to hike to the Mt. Everest

c) Winter break trip to Hong Kong and London

d) surfing in Costa Rica (which I think I blogged about)

e) Wine tasting in Chile/Argentina (AMAAAZING)

- I landed a job in Los Angeles, so I will be living there for the foreseeable future starting in November. Yehaw!

- I will be in NYC for September and October.

So here is the timeline:

July – Indonesia

August – Indonesia, Malaysia, HK, LA, Seattle, LA, Sydney, LA

September – NYC

October – NYC

Nov 15 – Move to Los Angeles and start work (sigh)

As for Indonesia, it has been an experience in how to not manage a trip. I went with a tour operator used by my friends for their diving trip, and honestly it has been a bit of a zoo. I don’t know if the agent and operator have any idea what they are doing, but it has been a huge pain dealing with them. I’m glad I go independent as soon as I leave bali. I’m sorry, but having my airport transfers taken care of is not worth all the pain in the arse this has been causing me. I should just get a cab from the airport! BLAH!

OK, enough bitchery. I’m loving life and loving Indonesia. I thought I would try to lose weight, but all the delightful Indonesian eats will probably prevent that. On the bright side, I can have fried rice for breakfast every day. YEHAW!
