Ushuaia - Computer breakdown
OK, I really do need to get a new computer now. My old toshiba is crapping out on me...the computer itself works, but the input area for the Adaptor is kinda busted, so now I can´t work at full power anymore without also draining the battery, and it takes forever to charge. Meanwhile my Toshiba is HUGE and I want something I can bring to China etc. with a little more ease. Billy and Jack both got the DELL 700M, which I liked a lot, but my other friends claim that Dell sucks and it WILL break down on me within the year. That would suck if I´m on the road! However, I don´t want to spend much more than $1000 because I think that I will have to buy something else if/when I go to grad school anyway! UGH, life is so complicated!So here are my options:
1) Buy something small that might be more expensive (IBM)
2) Buy the cheapest thing I can get (could be less than $1000, which is good with me)
3) Buy the small DELL and take my chances
Any other suggestions?
BTW, I think I WILL bring some Mate back with me...just hope that I can get it through US customs!
