I am a jetlagged mofo!

Update: I woke up at noon today, after landing at Ohare around 10pm last night. I couldn't fall asleep last night, and even with 10 hours of sleep I am totally BEAT!

Sometimes it is better to be working, because it forces you to confront the jetlag. Instead I'm sitting in my living room drinking plunger coffee and watching the first Lord of the Rings movie...we'll see if I end up watching all of them.

GAWD I'M PATHETIC!

OK, enough self pity for a sec. I'm sure you're thinking to yourself: "Enough about you! How was the freaking Hong Kong trip!?"

Well I'll tell ya! I got to see a bunch of old friends, and I got to meet with some potential employers. The BEST (and by best I mean worst and best at the same time) thing about this year is the fact that I have NO IDEA where I will be after I finish grad school. 75% of the reason for me to go was to figure out a way to land myself back on the west coast. Now I think I have about a 20% chance for West Coast, 40% for HK and 40% for London. I can't say I'm disappointed with either of them, but the uncertainty is a bit frustrating.

I was thinking about it this week as I met more and more of my expat friends, and I realized that a lot of my friends have done exactly what I have. They all worked in finance, then realized they were very tired, took about a year off, then ended up in another expat post after they realized that life back home is never the same. I guess there is some chance of that happening to me too.

In the meantime, I head to CA tomorrow. I still need to buy xmas gifts...bleh.
