Something smells good in stinkville
Meaning my blog seems to be messed up.Not sure what happened, but the post with pictures I think messed it up, so I'm posting this as a test.
In the meantime, good news: I am making fondue tomorrow for my parents! YUM!
OK, seveal hours later...tonight was a "get drunk with dad" night. I had a couple of martinies...always good fun. The best thing about my dad is that he's very price-conscious when it comes to gin, and he tends to know when to buy a giant jug of bombay saphire! I have actually gravitated to Hendricks, a slightly snottier gin for my martinies, but tonight the bombay saphie was good for some gin and tonics...and hold the tonic!
So anyway, our drunken conversations tonight related to my studying chinese characters, the state of affirmative action, teaching evolution in school, and some other very relevant topics. I think some fathers and sons bond over football, and some over shooting, some over golf, and some over baseball. My dad and I bond over gin, and lots of it! It was a good night, and even when my mom came home from bible study we were able to hang out! Family bonding is a great thing my friends. Family values: I'm all about that shit!
