Buenos Aires 7 - Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is probably my least favorite holiday. I have been away from home for every Thanksgiving for the past ten years. Here is my little holiday roundup for thanksgivings past....

1977-1998 - TG dinner at home with my parents and family. My Grandparents would drive in from Elsinor (desert CA) and bring pies. Grandma Hambly (mom's side) would bring awesome homemade pumpkin pies (like 4) and maybe two others, all from scratch and all awesome. Sometimes we would have lots of people over.

1995 - Nidhi Mirani's house in North Bergen NJ. Awesome home-made indian food. I ate much, and it was good.

1996 - Jen Estaris/Roxanne Templo's apartment with all the other CA/Hawaii/Israel folks that couldn't go home

1997 - The 'Ville. Awesome.

1998 - Princeton NJ for my first vegetarian TG with my sister's high school friends, their classmates, and amazing pashed potatos made with kale. Yum.

1999 - TG in NYC with Carol Lee and the Whitney High School class of '95!

2000 - Lasagna (i made it myself from scratch except the noodles) in my apartment with Mandy. I left the leftovers in the fridge for like 2 months. Mandy was happy.

2001 - The Salomon Smith Barney Australia Equities Division X-mas Party. REALLY awesome.

2002-2004 - Vegetarian TG in Boston with my sister, all her cats, and lots of cheese (and wine). All good.

2005 - Business school interview, 2-for-1 special on Gancia cocktails, my laptop in a bar with free WIFI. Hopefully I will finish the night with lots of delicious delicious meat, and maybe some yummy Malbec as well. Its all good.

Next year I want to be in CA for TG. No more Grandma (or pies), but the time with family will be good. Hopefully it will happen...i've been saying the same for 10 years...sometimes its hard being a fascinating person...
