America's Most Overpriced Cities

So Forbes just published their "Overpriced Cities in America" list. I think last year Seattle (my dream town) was #1. As I'm sure you recall, this list crossreferences cost of living vs. job growth, housing affordability, and salary to create an "index" of expensiveness. This year the ranking is
1. Essex County, MA
2. San Francisco, CA
3. San Jose, CA
4. Honolulu, HI
5. Cambridge, MA
6. New York, NY
7. Oakland, CA
8. Tucson, AZ
9. Boston, MA
10. Los Angeles, CA
So apparently this list reflects the "winners and losers" of the housing market bubble. It seems like with the exception of Hawaii and Tucson, its basically Boston, CA, and NYC. Surprise surprise. Interesting that Seattle and Portland both fell off the map! That bodes well for me!!
