Simple Pleasures

How I have missed you, my sweet sweet bed. There are fewer simple pleasures in life than sleeping in your own bed. It has taken roughly 13 months (since October of last year) for me to get back to my own bed, with its supple mohogany headboard and firm yet comfortable mattress. I decided to retire my ivory duvet cover in favor of a combination of the green duvet cover from my Australia years and the green/red/blue/gold textile that I foolishly bought in Bali. It all seems to work, and more importantly I have been sleeping great.

So my apartment is basically setup, and after a zillion loads of laundry the piles of clothing are almost sorted away. Also I bought a new teapot, which makes me very happy.

If the preceding two paragraphs don't give it away, I am currently obsessed with simple pleasure in this, my last week of freedom before grad school starts. It has been an amazing year of freedom, but I guess its time to accept that my last adventure has finally ended. On that note, here are my top 5 Simple Pleasures:

Top 5 Simple Pleasures of Living Alone in a 1 Bedroom Apartment
5) Sleeping in and then not changing out of sleepwear (preferably during a blizzard) followed by watching TV
4) Cooking something yummy and grossly unhealthy that involves a freshly opened bottle of nice wine
3Nice music, nice book, nice sofa + bench ottoman
2) Having people over for wine and cheese and maybe some sort of dip (7 layer, artichoke, spinach, etc)
1) Glass of port before bedtime
